LG Optimus Vu II is the latest flagship phablet featuring Android 4.0. It is the successor to LG’s first phablet, Optimus Vu. Optimus Vu II will feature a 5-inch IPS+ display with the resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Optimus Vu II will be powered by 1.5GHz Qualcomm’s dual core processor with the addition of 2GB RAM. Optimus Vu 2 will come pre-installed with Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS (Android 4.0). For connectivity, it will support Bluetooth 3.0, NFC technology, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and 3G & LTE mobile connections. For multimedia, Optimus Vu II will feature a 8 Mega Pixel rear camera capable of shooting 1080p videos and 1.3 Mega Pixel front facing camera for video calls. For storage, it will come with 16GB internal memory in addition of microSD card slot. There is no official announcement from LG but rumors are that Optimus Vu II will be launched during Q4 of 2012. Optimus Vu 2 will compete directly against Samsung’s latest phablet, Galaxy Note II. Overall, it is not an ideal upgrade for original Optimus Vu users because Android 4.0 addition, double memory (RAM) and fast processors are the only key features that distinguish the latest flagship from its predecessor.
