HTC Titan II
HTC Titan 2 is the successor to original HTC Titan and main upgraded features are LTE support and a 16 Mega Pixel camera. Titan 2 packs a large 4.7-inch touchscreen display with the resolution of 480 x 800 pixel (~199 ppi pixel density). In size it measures 132 x 69 x 13 mm and weighs 147g. In terms of power Titan 2 has 1.5GHz processor and 512MB RAM. There are not many change in this department but device is still very fast and responsive. It comes pre loaded with Windows Phone Mango (Windows Phone 7.5 OS). The main feature of Titan 2 is its 16 Mega Pixel rear camera with dual LED flash. In addition to this it has auto focus, wide-angle F2.6 lens, Face detection, geo tagging, backside illumination (for superior low light performance), image stabilization and 720p video recording (rather dull compared to today’s world of 1080p recording). For video conferencing Titan 2 has 1.3 Mega Pixel front facing camera. It keeps you stay in touch with all those important conference meetings or even with family & friends using Skype. Pictures quality taken from 16 MP camera are really impressive and does bring photography into world of Smartphones. For connectivity Titan 2 has LTE (4G) support, 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, GPS technology for navigation. To keep things running smoothly it comes with an enlarged 1730 mAH battery which hopefully will be enough to power device for whole day on average use. Titan 2 will be available in US from AT&T by March 2012. For rest of the world, availability is pushed back to Q2 of 2012. Other Windows Phone competing with Titan 2 is Nokia Lumia 900. Microsoft will be bringing new apps and handsets in 2012 to boost Windows Phone profile and compete with Apple and Android phones. Stay tune or follow @harrym20 on twitter for more updates.
