Motorola ATRIX 4G – Motorola’s Revival

Motorola is back in mobile smartphone market with Motorola ATRIX 4G. It has 4 inch qHD Multi touch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 960 x 540 that is great for viewing HD videos and pictures. The power on ATRIX comes from Dual core Tegra 2 Processor running at 1GHz and 1GB DDR2 RAM. This makes the device really quick compare to today’s smartphone. In addition to this it has Dual Core GeForce ULP GPU graphics. Motorola ATRIX runs Google’s Android 2.2 Operating system. Android OS is growing fast in smartphone market these days. For browsing ATRIX has Android Webkit browser with support of Adobe flash player and Firefox 3.61.13. This gives you a great web experience. For connectivity Motorola ATRIX has Mobile Network Connections (4G, 3G, GPRS, GSM), Wifi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 EDR. For multimedia ATRIX has two cameras. 5 Mega Pixel at rear with Autofocus and LED flash and VGA camera at front for video chat. Other features on the Motorola ATRIX include Finger print reader, Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Digital compass and Proximity sensor. For storage it has 16GB on board memory and can be extended using Micro SD memory card. Battery performance on motorola is great, 9 hrs talktime on 3G using 1930mAh battery.

Overall, Motorola has worked hard to bring dual core processor to mainstream smartphone market. Motorola ATRIX 4G is available worldwide from all the leading mobile phones retailers.

Update – On 15 August 2011 Google announced that it is taking over Motorola Mobility for $12.5b. After the disappointing sales from Motorola Atrix, it is definitely step forward for Motorola.

Update – Google’s next upgrade ICS (Ice cream Sandwich or Android 4.0) will be rolled over by April 2012.
